The next Commonwealth Games are going to be held in 2010 in New Delhi, India. The Games are scheduled to be take place within 3 October to 14 October, 2010. India will be hosting the Commonwealth Games for the first time in India and it will be the second time held in Asia. The opening ceremony of Commonwealth Games 2010 will be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. However, kabaddi will also be a demonstration sport at the Commonwealth Games 2010. The triathlon is to be excluded from these games as there is no suitable location for the swimming stage.

The upcoming events of 2010 Commonwealth Games will be held in different venues which includes Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Dhyan Chand National Stadium, Indira Gandhi Arena, Delhi University sport complex, Tyagaraj Sports Complex, Siri Fort Sport Complex, Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range, Talkatora Stadium, SPM Swimming pool complex, RK Khanna Tennis Complex and Yamuna Sports Complex. The opening and closing ceremony of Commonwealth Games 2010 will be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, which has the capacity of about 75,000 spectators for the Games.
